"The purpose of art is nothing less than the upliftment of the human spirit." Blessed John Paul II
The Sacred Art Show is Catholic art created by Catholic artists to enhance spiritual devotion and bring beauty into the world, all for the Glory of God.
Twenty artists from six states presented and sold their Catholic art at the 2011 show. Check out the gallery for samples of their work.
SACRED ART SHOW 2012
We are honored to announce The Most Reverend Fabian W. Bruskewitz, Bishop of Lincoln, will be our first keynote speaker.
Bishop Bruskewitz will speak Saturday, April 21, at 11:00 AM about the importance and need for Catholic and sacred art in Church and in the home, and the relationship of art to the liturgy.
The show hours are Friday, April 20, 2012 5:30 P.M. - 9:00 P.M., and Saturday, April 21, 2012 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
Our show is located in Lincoln, Nebraska. I know there are MANY Catholic artists around the country looking for venues to show and sell their beautiful Catholic art. We encourage those artists to contact us. If it's not possible to travel to Nebraska, the artist and their work will be represented by a Sacred Art Show committee member.
If you are interested in participating in the art show, please see the criteria on the Mission page of this website, then contact Laura Duggan at bellastudioslincoln(at)neb.rr.com
Ten percent of all sales will be donated to the St. Gianna Home, a home for women escaping domestic violence and abortion.
